Hi, HomeServe Family,

Today, we're reaching out to ask for your support for Kelsey LoPreiato, a valued member of our Revenue team who is facing an incredibly difficult time. Kelsey has been part of our HomeServe family for over 13 years, spending her entire corporate career with us here at HomeServe. She's shown up for this company through it all, and now it's our turn to show up for her.

On Sunday morning, September 13, a rainstorm brought devastating flooding to Kelsey's home. Five feet of water gushed into her basement and garage, leaving five feet of water behind. Both cars parked in the driveway were completely totaled. Because her home isn't in a flood zone, she has no flood insurance, and her regular insurance is refusing to cover the damage.
The losses have been staggering. Kelsey lost nearly everything in her basement, including treasured sentimental items, baby gear, TVs, refrigerators, a washer, dryer, snow blowers and lawn equipment. Her home now needs a new furnace, a full basement and garage renovation and extensive plumbing and electrical work. As of now, they're still without power and cannot stay in the home. Kelsey and her family are staying with relatives while they figure out the road ahead.

As if this weren't enough, Kelsey is also caring for her 20-month-old daughter, who has hip dysplasia and underwent hip surgery just four weeks ago. Her little girl is in a Spica cast that runs from her chest down to her legs. The flood destroyed specialized baby gear designed for her cast, items that are both expensive and hard to replace.

Thankfully, auto insurance will cover the two cars. But everything else falls on Kelsey and her family to rebuild and replace on their own.

This is a moment for us to come together as one HomeServe family. After 13 years of Kelsey giving her all to us, we have the chance to give something back. Every gesture of support, big or small, can make a real difference for her family as they begin to recover and rebuild.

To support Kelsey and her family, we're launching a Helping Hands campaign.

  • Campaign dates: Today, September 15 through Wednesday, September 30
  • Matching gift: The HomeServe Cares Foundation will match all employee donations at 100% up to $5,000
  • How to give: Donate on this page. Note: you may need to disconnect from VPN or use your personal device when donating.

Every donation helps ease the financial burden on Kelsey and her family, giving them more time to find solid ground again. And even if you're unable to give, please keep Kelsey and her whole family in your thoughts. Your kindness and encouragement mean more than you know.

Let's come together and remind Kelsey that after all these years, she's never facing this alone.
