My name is Amelia, and I am starting this fundraiser for myself and my boyfriend, Alejandro, after our apartment caught fire. In a matter of moments, our lives were turned upside down. We lost belongings in the fire, and after just paying rent, we are now facing the heartbreaking reality of having nowhere to live. On top of everything, we have had to take time off work to move what we can and try to recover, which has made an already overwhelming situation even harder financially.
